Are we saving enough ?

The short answer is no we are not saving enough.
NS&I's Savings Survey, which was published on the 4th of December show we are moving in the right direction. The figures show that in 2009, while the average monthly amount Britons save per head has increased to its highest recorded figure (£83.87, up from £70.23 in 2005) .
We are still a million miles away from say the other end of the scale the Chinese can save as much as 30 percent of disposable income (NY Times).
